TAKING IT TO THE BIG BOYS — COMMERCIALLY SPEAKING
Since the start of business in July 2007, we set ourselves some goals that to be honest we felt may be a little beyond us, however we felt it was better to aim high than to just aim at our comfort zone.

The first thing we had to do was to put a plan in place as to how we wanted to structure our commercial division and secondly how we proposed to market ourselves.
After only a few months in our little arcade shop in Fremantle we realised that if we were going to compete with the larger companies in the commercial field we would have to consider moving premises not only due to size restrictions but to position ourselves in the centre of our market place.

After months of planning the decision was made to move to our new showroom in Cockburn Central / South Lake and what a move it has been. No longer are we ’hemmed in’ in beautiful old Freo, but we are strategically located right in the heart of our market place and our clients are keen to visit our office as they can park at the door. Access into the CBD is brilliant as we can be anywhere in 10 minutes via the Freeway and Roe Highway.
As a result of our move which took place in November last year, we have been able to continually build our client base and obtain a lot of exciting new business. Regarded by many as a ’rising star’ in the commercial field, we are now commanding a higher degree of relevance and respect in this highly competitive area of Real Estate, so much so that we are now competing head to head with CBD agents in increasingly more situations.

De Freitas & Ryan commercial auctions are considered by many to be second to none and we will again be on show with a major General Industry land auction in Kwinana Beach on 1 April. People are moving their commercial managements across to us on a regular basis, as they like the way we do things and only last month Travis Lindstrom and Robert Ryan, our Senior Commercial Consultants were appointed as managing agents of a number of large commercial properties in Mandurah and Port Kennedy.
We have been successful in leasing office space in many areas and as a result we are now mixing it with the ’big boys’ with properties listed in West Perth and St Georges Terrace.
We’ve done some exciting work in Port Kennedy where we’ve arranged purpose built premises to be constructed and then leased to major National Companies including Bunning’s.
Naval Base continues to be a stronghold of activity for our company and we’ve completed a large number of transactions there just recently. With the addition of Paul Finis to our commercial team, we have been able to target the Southern region from Bunbury to Albany and we have lots of exciting things happening for us there as well.
